Fairhaven Washington Real Estate is some of the most desirable

Fairhaven is actually only a district within the city of
Bellingham Washington however there was a time it was an
individual city. Fairhaven later merged with
other nearby small communities to become modern day Bellingham.

once a thriving logging town in the
1800's and was home to a large cannery processing salmon f or sale all over
the world and Fairhaven has a long tradition of shipbuilding, from large wooden vessels
to modern fiberglass yachts. Uniflight Yachts were once
built in a facility along the Fairhaven waterfront and currently
Aluminum Chambered Boats builds state-of-the-art high performance
aluminum welded watercraft that are in high demand by both
fishermen as well as the U.S. Navy and homeland security.
Fairhaven Neighborhoods
The Fairhaven district and nearby Edgemoor are
considered by many to be some of Bellingham's most
sought after neighborhoods and its not hard to see
why--Fairhaven has the look and feel of a charming small seaside village, yet it has easy
freeway access to all the shopping, dining, and employment
opportunities Bellingham as to offer. The red
brick buildings and quaint shops of Fairhaven have been carefully preserved
and maintained to preserve their old world charm and the effect is remarkable.

The Bay

The Waterfront
Fairhaven's waterfront is home to the Bellingham
Cruise Terminal, Amtrak Station, and Bellingham's Greyhound Bus Station.
The Bellingham Cruise Terminal is the beginning point for the Alaska
Marine Highway, A unique ferry system that transports its passengers
and their cars through the inside passage to Ketchikan, Skagway,
Juneau, and beyond. The
Bellingham Cruise Terminal is also home t o a number of cruise and
tour operators offering excursions to Victoria B.C., Friday
Harbor in the San Juans, as well as bay cruises and whale watching
aboard specially designed high speed catamarans.
The
Bellingham Cruise terminal is the starting point for many family
vacations but it also hosts various events throughout the
year including a large classic and custom car
show--- A free
event attracting people from all corners of Whatcom County &
Northwest Washington. The large glass domed
meeting room on the 2nd floor offers panoramic views of Bellingham
bay and can be reserved for meetings and special events.
