San Juan Island accommodations range from quaint bed and breakfasts, inexpensive motels, all the up to luxury waterfront hotel showplaces.   Booking your hotel or motel in advance is a good idea because the weekends can get very busy during the season.   

The three most visited islands in the San Juan's also happen to be served by the Washington State Ferry System.   The most visited is San Juan Island itself which has the largest town of any of the islands.   Friday harbor is the first choice for first time island visitors but Orcas Island is a close second.

Lopez island is known as the most laid back and relaxed of the major San Juan Islands and is a favorite for cyclist because the terrain is much more level and the island itself is much less populated with less traffic.
